 | Food Rescue Updates |
Food Rescue Update 2009 TNPH has been actively engaging in food rescue since 2007. This food, that otherwise would have been discarded, has been received, free of charge, by local organizations that feed the needy daily and by families in need.
This food comes from a variety of sources including corporate meetings, family donations, bake sales and specialty supermarkets.
Since 2007, TNPH has rescued an estimated $5,000 in food from the Westchester County, NY area.
TNPH has found that in these tough economic times of budget cuts and job losses, food rescue is needed more than ever. So join us in making a difference.
We thank you partners for working with us to safely collect surplus and perishable food that was headed for the garbage. Together we have made a difference.

TNPH thanks The Learning Shop of Harrison, NY for their generation donations of cases of food for Thanksgiving and over 13 bags of food collected at their Christmas party.
This food was provided to a local outreach during a budgetary downturn and contributed greatly to the success of Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners provided to the needy.
